You have no idea how much knowledge and experience is lacking from people dealing with SEO. The other day I participated in a meeting with a FinTech team (million-dollar business) when their Head of Marketing told me she could boost SEO with paid advertising and their CMO could not understand a thing about search engines. No surprise to me that they show metrics like -42% growth MoM. Again, another multi-million Finance firm with their SEO manager showing only 4% search performance YoY.
Coders show limited understanding too. They like to advertise their website products as SEO-friendly but when I check no site complies with Google policies. Let me clear this up once and for all: A page with SEO issues stands no chance of ranking on the first page, produce any traffic or generate leads.
I am the consultant who can protect you from failing marketers. I start by running an audit to nail down the technical and content blockers that reduce the page performance. My checklist includes parameters like website speed, redirects, metadata, backlinks, content structure, keyword mapping, CTAs, conversion metrics. SEO has its singularities, necessities, traffic sources, audiences, and ROI. Most of the consultants out there will disrupt the growth with spammy tactics. I recommend finding a consultant who ranks in many US locations, knows all spam tactics and can deliver more page visits, clicks, conversions. An enormous change to traffic happens when the pages rank on the first page. The New York residents will choose your pages instead of your competitors, and that means revenue. I will optimize the page content, repair the technical issues, and grow the page visibility. Everything is about maximizing conversions as these will generate revenue. Then, when you do some branding, you create customer trust that benefits sales (SEO also advances traffic from the Direct channel). I like to track metrics like clicks, conversions, content relevancy, rankings. My work speaks to all devices and platforms, i.e., desktop, mobile (phones/tablets), voice search, YouTube, Google Maps, etc.
There are different tactics out there amongst SEO consultants, but there are only a few ways to compare one another. For example, a) see if they break the client website; b) check if they generate spam - look at the backlink profile; c) whether they have ranked the client for competitive keywords; d) verify if the results tend to stay after one or more updates, etc. Now, my strategy is somewhat different to other methods I follow. I could not help but share some tactics as there are not many, but the critical step is combining everything, work with quality standards, pick the right time and intensity when releasing a campaign, and more.
I like to use content to generate traffic (White-hat method without over-optimizing via Article Marketing). I try to match my e-content with each audience segment, i.e., the residents of New York following demographics and interests). To this end, I use platforms like Google search, Google Maps, YouTube, industry sites, social networks, etc. When I am confident of what are the customers′ needs, I then pass to preparing the texts for my outreach. Needless to say that I optimize my material for maximum readability and conversion rate. I then opt for the most favorable time to reach to them right when they are prone to making a buying decision. Things are smooth with a spam-proof website as it is the best medium to dominate the organic search and generate massive traffic flows. I offer top-notch, engaging content, well-structured pages, and keep all work in-house. In the above-simplified description, your domain reaches the first page for competitive terms, and you enjoy evergreen, targeted visits. Search engine optimization can rise to being the number one digital source of traffic with metrics like up to a 200% rise in the first three months.
Performance: You can expect targeted traffic that produces more leads. With paid advertising, you trigger your competitor to outbid you in a vicious circle that ends up with both of you exhausting your ad budgets. Since SEO is hard to grow your competitor will need an experienced Consultant - always hard to find one who delivers. Having a professional who knows what he is doing, will give you more chances to rank and spend less when you compare SEO with paid ads. With social media, you have to settle with a low-performing channel. SEO is the contrary as it can crush all digital channels in numbers and costs. Plus, search engine optimization can benefit the direct channel via the branded searches - when searchers type in your domain or brand and click to visit).
Know-how: I will support your in-house team (if you have one). I will get off any spam that could demote your pages. There are marketers out there who neglect safety concerns and can cause extensive harm to your page. While you may recover from light damage, with increased spam you risk burning the website - that means to abandon the domain and start from scratch with a new one). It is always good to have more than one pages - as a backup - to reduce risks and why not, dominate the searches.
Quality: SEO is very advanced and requires in-depth knowledge to grow. Google presents the primary source of free traffic, but at the same time focuses on search products like paid advertising that generates its revenue. To keep their products in shape, they tweak them and introduce new features. The intent is to minimize server resources, offer the best products, keep their customers happy, and get rid of all the spam. You might get an idea of how many updates they release if I tell you that they have just rolled out a critical improvement the last week of March (the Mobile-first Index, read below). The last month update followed another at the start of March, and it was about tweaking their core algorithm plus improving content quality. The core update introduced the concept of quality content as Google said that a website would be impossible to recover from a hit with no quality texts!
Challenges: Google engineers pose challenges to SEO Consultants with the latter sparing resources from testing and doing quality work. After all, they have systems in place to automate and outsource work to cheaper agencies and freelancers, so why bother? Now, outsourcing client work is the easiest way to break a site. The providers would go ahead and blast the page with spam as automating SEO does not work, and Google knows it. With tools that work with patterns, Google detects what is going on around their search products and fight back. When they are sure about a spam tactic and its impact, they release a site-wide penalty or engine updates that impact millions of pages.
Outsourcing: Google rolls out hundreds of updates per year. The other engines, Bing, Yandex, Baidu, and Yahoo, do not optimize so much but who cares, they provide so little traffic, right? Despite the number of updates, I still keep the same Google SEO approach as before with a few tweaks because it works miracles. You see, with so many changes and so many marketers breaking web pages, the competition does not stand a chance. I keep watching Google; I build the best landing pages out there, I handle all client work in-house, thus providing the highest value to clients. I reckon it a massive disadvantage when agencies want to reduce costs and compromise the work quality with outsourcing client work (you might want to read this article on Outsourcing). Remember, Google waits at the corner ready to penalize spam. Google engineers can match pages to over-optimization patterns and struck webmasters with non-recoverable penalties.
Yes, but you need experience in the mobile funnel requirements and metrics. You may have noticed the new technologies coming into marketing:
Voice Search calls for a new marketing approach fit for all Search Assistants in the market:
New niches and customer segments emerge forcing marketers to develop new marketing strategies and tools. Go ahead and make the first step: offer mobile-friendly pages. Google crawls these versions first. It makes sense to reach your New York customers when they are on the go, right? What better way to expose your solutions or products than a mobile page targeting people moving within your service radius.
Search Engine Optimization, Landing Page Optimization, Google Ads (Paid Search Advertising), Social Media Marketing, Mobile Marketing, YouTube Marketing (Video Optimization), Negative SEO Monitoring.
I will fix your failing SEO. My reach to local customers follows the optimized content approach, so it is safe for your page. I will prepare the best content structure you can find and funnel traffic to my landing pages. Due to the high rankings, people will see your page in front of them. I will add Google Maps, Social Media, or Video Marketing to the marketing mix to increase visibility. Here are a couple of ways: A searcher browsing the NYC Google Maps, will get a suggestion to visit businesses nearby. A viewer watching YouTube videos could find your content in the first listings. Social network users will see your posts when close to making a buying choice. It makes sense, right?
My strategy includes SEO audit, content ideas, building landing pages, setting expectations and budget, marketing calendar, performance metrics (MoM, YoY). My goal is to generate leads with targeted content (White-hat approach). There is no limitation to what type of property I could optimize, i.e., on-site, off-site, videos, product listings, landing pages, etc.
When it comes to SEO tools, there are many, but Content is White-hat, does not break a site and generates engagement. You may have worked with building backlinks but did you see any growth? Backlinks deliver no ROI, can make Google punish the site for over-optimization. Why risk your online business? Article Marketing campaigns provide no value; Google views them as spam tactics. Content is the safest way to boosting rankings. You make Google smile with topic relevancy, and you get the best backlinks because they bring in value. I like to enhance your content instead of over-optimize it artificially. I prefer a few optimized articles, which I promote to interested readers, and drive conversions.
My work is spam-proof and White-hat. There is not going to be any spam, only value. I know what changes after an update, all the action steps will originate in-house (no outsourcing). Your website will not break because of spam.
Work with a retainer for best results for six months, then extend it if you see the ROI. Whether you have a small business, a Start-up or an established business it matters the site and content quality. A page that has no SEO blockers (penalties or technical issues) could see ROI from the third month.
I optimize web pages in the state of Michigan and the cities of Albany -- Buffalo -- Mount Vernon -- New Rochelle -- New York City -- Rochester -- Schenectady -- Syracuse -- Utica -- Yonkers.
